Handmade in Chicago

I was once a longtime bully….to myself. 

My hair wasn’t long enough, my teeth weren’t straight enough and I wasn’t pretty enough. For years I disguised myself with wigs and weaves and loaded myself down with makeup all to look like someone else. Like someone others thought was pretty. 

Here I was in Chicago, one of the greatest metropolitan cities in the nation, working as a professional makeup artist and beauty school graduate, helping others feel pretty and accepted, and I didn’t feel that way about myself.

Enough was enough. 

It was time for a change. 

I swapped out the wigs for my natural hair and got rid of wearing makeup with the intent of utterly transforming myself into someone else. I began wearing clothing closer to my taste and style (which leans more towards retro/eccentric vintage) and engrossed myself in one of my favorite subjects, literature. 

I no longer wanted to be pretty, but beautiful and beyond.

I created Beyond Beautiful Books & Beauty to be a goal-focused, solution-driven, functional, practical beauty enterprise that inspires flourishing growth and maturity. All of my jewelry is formed and made by hand with intricate details made of clay, metals and nickel-free materials]

About My Signature Jewelry 

My small batch jewelry is made from clay and all by hand. From metal working to shaping, forming, glazing, sanding and drilling. Every piece is unique and cannot be duplicated.
Currently, we are the only company that centralizes not only on the changing exterior of a person but the inner being through speaking engagements, workshops, skincare, jewelry, and books.
